31 Zamalek VS Ittehad My view

Hi everyone,
I usually do not write any comments but recently i am writing more than i used to because i got an Arabic channel showing the games.
yesterday i followed the game with you guys till i went home and watched the game and i want to make few points about the game:
1- Many of you guys blame Abdel Wahed el said about the goals, and i dont think he is to be blamed for any of the goals. he could be partially blamed for the 3rd goal as it came to the middle of the net , but that also can not be all him as it is a free kick

2- Our defense is not different from before, we have always been doing the same mistakes over and over again. you guys blame El safty and i dont think it is him that we should blame.. el safty is an aggressive defender and thats a good trait and if i can say one thing, el safty falls into mistakes because of Fathallah who is not reasonable in his forward runs and he leaves the back exposed including safty which makes us blame safty. Fathallah is not the best defender in my view and he is prone to mistakes.

3- our midfield is missing the player who extracts the ball and makes the attacking midfielders of other team run away from him. we used to have tamer abdel hamid, but not anymore.. so now we have ibrahim salah , but he needs to be stronger. i was very impressed by hossam arafat and he has strong body with good technique that makes him able for that role. but i am not sure about him being in the attack playing the role of hussein yasser. he can go back and play instead of hassan mostafa

4- in addition to the previous comment about our midfield, hassan mostafa can not play as a defensive midfielder, he is not good in his tackles and he tackles while falling although in his position he should tackle while standing on his feet. the problem of this style of tackling is that if he misses the tackle he is out of the play because it takes time to get back up and do your covering.
hassan mostafa can be a box to box kind of midfielder and at this point i think he would do better.

5- our attack is strong only because of shikabala, ahmad gafar is good, but he would need someone like shikabala for him. mohamad ibrahim should not play as an attacker, he should play as an attacking midfielder and i think if he takes the role of hossam arafat in the game he would do a very good job.

6- Abo koneh is not an attacker , i think he should be given one last chance from the beginning of the game and to see how he does, after that , he should be given the directions for the exit door.

7- hossam hassan has good technique coaching and good tactics, but he still does mistakes in his role assignments and it would only get better by time, he is still a new coach.

Finally, i think we are by far better than all the rest of the teams in the league, we just need to get better in defense , and strengthen our midfield with couple of players who can do the job.

As a side note: i think fathallah should not be signed for so much money , he is not special, and he is just playing with us... whatever the reason , he is not thesuper star like wael gom3a ( before). so if he wants to leave, we should just look for two new defenders.

Thumbs up

Well Said, Welwel

I still think Fat7allah is a very solid player and has been effective up front when it counted

The fact that he leaves the back prone to counter-attacks should be fixed by Coach Hossam

As for Safty, you're on your own there .

I doubt there is a fan here who will defend him or
that miracle of modern football named Ahmad Ghanem Sultan

first of all thanks for the reply , i was very shocked to realize that we dont have many people who speak english here. i know many would say arabic is the best and i am not saying the opposite, but sometimes, it is good to improve your english or as in my case, i dont have an arabic keyboard and its much easier.

as for fathallah, i kind of disagree, i think he is an ok player, he leaves gaps behind him, and he is not a good marker, and not fast enough. if he is going upfront a lot and scors, that does not make him a good defender, it makes him an attacker.

el safty is not as bad as we think,... i think he has something in him, but he gets exposed a lot because of fathallah...

ghanem sultan is not a player and i dont even consider him to be anything but a person who was misled into football

The dearth of English speakers is due to the fact that they keep jettisoning the good ones
Case in point, our good friend Mark. He entered the Twilight Zone some time ago and was never heard of since
As for the Arabic Keyboard thing, you can always use Google transliteration with Ta3reeb
I do all the time, and it works fine

fat7allah is an indespensable player in zamalek at the mean time , specially under the circumstances of the egyptian transfer market & zamalek's limited ability to attrack or a capture a quality defender

he is not a complete defender but he is the best out there at the current time , speed & aggression might be required in the game but a defender also needs other qualities like anticipation , his contribution to the build up play & most importantly leading the back four in every moment by monitoring the movement of defenders & opponent's strikers in over to excecute the offside trap for example or make sure that no opponent is slipping past his marker , and fat7allah outdoes every egyptian defender in these aspects

________________________

the midfield crisis is not mainly a defensive one , it's more about how long can we keep possession of the ball , no use of having good defensive midfielders if u can't keep the ball more than 6 or 7 consequtive passes in the middle of the pitch , even if we get a quality defensive midfieder with better ability to tackle & hurrass the opponents we would still have huge problems regarding creativity & ability to deliver the ball to the wingers & strikers in easier & more dangerous positions

the problem with safty is that he always goes for the attacker and not the ball which makes him do loads of fouls in affective places in the last half of our midfiled..mean while with fathalla his not fast enough to go forward and backwards which make a huge space behind him besides which is clarified when a through ball is played behind both of safti and fathalla exposing us to loads of goals :S
